Who can earn Emerald Rewards?

Any sole-trader or business, with a valid ABN, who buys through an approved distributor.

How much can I earn on Emerald Rewards?

Reward amounts vary by product. You can earn the below Emerald Rewards on any eligible products bought through approved distributors. 

Standard Reward Values The reward amounts listed below are the standard rewards. From time to time, Emerald may offer promotional reward amounts that differ from those listed. Where a promotional reward applies, the promotional offer and its terms will take precedence for the duration of the promotion.

Can I upload past invoices to my account?

Only invoices dated within 90 days of the upload date are eligible for Emerald Rewards.

How do I sign up for Emerald Rewards?

Visit emerald.com.au/rewards, click through to Emerald Rewards, and hit “Sign up.” Follow the steps to create your account and start earning.

Is there a limit to how much I can earn through Emerald Rewards?

Nope! As long as you’re eligible and uploading invoices via approved distributors, there’s no cap on how much you can earn.

Just keep in mind that cashback is cashed out in $200 increments.

Why can I only cash out in $200 increments?

Once you hit the initial $200 cashback threshold, you’ll unlock access to rewards. From there, every time your cashback balance reaches another $200, you can cash it out as a VISA gift card. It’s our way of keeping things easy to track — and rewarding to grow.

Is there a limit to how much I can hold in my account?

Yes. If you reach the account limit of $4750, you’ll need to cash out before you can earn more. Simply redeem your balance for a digital Visa card via the Emerald Rewards platform.

Just keep in mind that cashback is cashed out in $200 Rewards Trigger minimum to unlock rewards.

Cashing Out

How much do I need in my account before I can cash out?

To receive your first Emerald Reward, you must purchase at enough eligible models from an approved distributor.

Once the Reward Trigger is met, you will then receive Emerald Rewards for eligible models purchased from an approved distributor.

Is there a minimum cash-out value?

Yes. The minimum value per Visa card redemption is $200.

Is there a maximum cash-out value?

Yes. The maximum value per Visa card redemption is $4,750.

Keep in mind, your cashback is redeemed in $200, increments once you’ve passed the initial $400 Rewards Trigger.

How long does it take for my reward to appear?

Once your invoice is uploaded, it can take up to 3 business days to show in your account. It will then be in a “pending” state for 30 days before it becomes available to cash out.

Are there any fees for using Emerald Rewards?

No. There are no fees to earn or redeem your rewards.

Can I redeem Emerald Rewards for other rewards?

No. Emerald Rewards can only be redeemed as digital Visa cards.

How do I activate my Visa card?

When you cash out, you’ll receive an email with clear instructions. Just follow the steps to activate and start spending.

Can I request a physical Visa card?

No. This program offers digital-only Visa cards, which work both online and in-store when added to your phone wallet.

How long is my Visa card valid?

Your prepaid digital Visa card is valid for 12 months from the date it’s issued. You can check the expiry date, balance, and transactions via the Emerald Rewards platform.

Where can I spend what I earn through Emerald Rewards?

Once you cash out, your digital Visa card can be used anywhere Visa is accepted—online or in-store.

Can I get cash out with the Visa card?

No. These digital Visa cards can’t be used to withdraw cash or access ATMs. They’re for purchases only.

Can I transfer what I earn through Emerald Rewards to someone else?

No. Rewards are not transferable between accounts. Once an invoice is claimed, it can’t be reused or transferred.
